Scope Of Work
The City of Richardson is seeking a Contractor to provide landscape maintenance of highway/rail rights-of-way and medians, maintenance of various beautifications areas located in medians, along walls and other areas in Richardson, including large turf, ditches, parks, public buildings, utilities' locations, etc. The Contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, supervision, tools, and equipment necessary to provide the services described in this specification.
The Contractor must maintain a physical address within the Dallas-Fort Worth area. All work shall be performed in-house and shall not be subcontracted without prior written approval from the City.
SPECIFICATIONS:
A. Contractor shall be responsible for mowing all turf; edging along walks, pavement, curbs, and planting beds; trimming around all signs, poles, trees, posts, and any other obstacle(s); removing all litter, visible grass clippings, weeds/grass from expansion joints, and fallen leaves for the entire property
B. Pruning Shrubs: The pruning recommended for most deciduous shrubs consists of thinning out, gradual renewal, and rejuvenation pruning.
C. Contractor shall be responsible for pruning all trees located within the maintenance area annually; trees in the nature areas with no directed public access are not included in the contract.
D. During the initial pruning of trees or shrubs, a City Park Supervisor must be present to educate the Contractor on ANSI pruning standards. From that time forward, all pruning shall be expected to follow these standards for continuity
E. The Contractor shall report all hazardous conditions and damage found on City property. The Contractor shall report all damages that occurs as a result of the Contractor’s maintenance to the Parks Department representative immediately.
