Description

Burke County JCPC requests from local non-profits, proposals to serve delinquent and at risk youth, ages 6 to 18 if under court supervision.

Programs must have a SPEP service type, an "evidence based" model or a service requested by the DJJDP.

Programs must have an evaluation component which can demonstrate impact on the risk factors below. Approximately $287,074 will be available [dependent on availability of funds] for July 1-June 30, Fiscal Year 2025/26. Local match of 30% required.

Burke Co. priority risk and needs factors compatible with legislative mandates:

• Age at First Delinquent Offense Alleged in a Complaint

• Number of Referrals with a Result

• Felony Referrals • Known use of Alcohol or Illegal Drugs by Youth or Family

• Serious School Behavior Problems

• Mental Health Needs

• Family/Juvenile Criminality

• Runaway/ Insecure Living Arrangement/ Inadequate Supervision

• Low Academic Performance/ School Attendance & Involvement

• Negative Peer Association

• History of Abuse or Victimization

• History of Aggression/ Violence/ Weapon Offence / or Person Crimes
