Scope OF Work
SCOPE OF SERVICES: HIDALGO COUNTY is soliciting sealed bids for the service of “Hauling Services for All Road Materials (Excluding Hot-Mix)” identified herein to sites situated and located with Hidalgo County on an “As Needed Basis”.
There is no guaranteed annual volume by any of the Precinct(s). The Hidalgo County reserves the right to utilize its own trucks and drivers at the discretion of Precinct(s) throughout the duration of the contract.
The vendor(s) shall maintain its security licensure for the life of the contract, and should it expire during the contract, the vendor(s) shall forward copies of the renewed license.
SPECIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: The specifications/requirements service contract will encompass Hauling for All Road Materials (Excluding Hot-Mix) from awarded vendor pits to sites situated and located within Hidalgo County, in accordance with the specification/requirements specified herein and including, but not limited to all provisions set forth in the accompanying documentation.
1. Road materials will be hauled (i.e. Crushed Caliche, Pit-Run Caliche, Gravel, Limestone, Sand, Fill Dirt) from vendor(s) “PIT” locations that are currently holding the contract for material bids. Vendors may change due to contract expiration during the term of this bid. Awarded vendor(s) will be advised.
2. Vendor(s) must have been in business for at least one year.
3. The bidder(s) must provide proof of ownership (copy of titles) and must furnish proof of possessing all necessary licenses and hauling permits, for all vendor-owned trucks.
4. Trucks must have a capacity of carrying a minimum of ten (10) tons per load.
5. Trucks should be available at the discretion of the Precinct(s) request and will be on an “As Needed Basis”.
6. The successful bidder(s) agrees to abide by all applicable state laws and regulations and comply with all OSHA and TXDOT regulations and requirements.
7. Bidder(s) will provide all labor, machinery, equipment, tools, and materials required to render services.
8. Insurance Certificates as per Exhibit C must be submitted to the Purchasing Department prior to any services being awarded to bidder(s).
9. Bidder(s) agree that to the extent an item is unavailable from Bidder(s) own inventory, Bidder(s) will be responsible for locating an alternative supplier and for providing the product or service to Hidalgo County.
