Scope Of Work
On March 1, 2022, Procurement Services, in collaboration with Student Nutrition, requested proposals for fresh produce suppliers. -
1. The highest-ranked proposal was submitted by C-K Produce, Inc., approved by the General Manager of Student Nutrition Services. - Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) annually participates in a USDA/DOD program providing funds for fresh produce, offsetting over $3,000,000 in costs.
2. **Regulations**: - USDA regulations require the Student Nutrition Department to serve more fresh fruits and vegetables as part of the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs.
3. Agreement Terms**: - The agreement term is one year, starting July 19, 2022, with opportunities for four 1-year renewals. - Termination is possible with a 30-day notice for convenience, and the agreement is reviewed annually.
